Not Gotcha Day yet

For those of you who are wondering, it's not Gotcha Day yet.  It could have been yesterday, because our facilitator picked up our court decree, and is now working on getting new birth certificates made.  Our original intention was to leave the kids at the orphanage until all the paperwork was done, and we were ready to leave, since it often involves lots of paperwork chasing, lots of walking, and lots of waiting around in offices, and this didn't sound fun with three new kids.  We had a momentary change of heart, and decided we were bored with our daily routine, and wanted to bring the kids here to our apartment, but after reconsidering, we decided to stay with our original plan, so we haven't gotten the kids yet.  This isn't exactly what I would call a kid-friendly country, and safety precautions we take for granted just don't exist here.  So we may get them out a few days early, but not too much.

Littlest girl isn't back, and the plan is to try to locate her on Monday.  We'll find the hospital, and take some proof of parenthood with us, so  we can see her.

Little boy was so tired today, and he laid around on the floor, or on Daddy, and played quietly with the power rangers.  He even let me stroke his hair for a long time.  I don't know if he's coming down with something, is worn out from the physical therapy students, or was just ready for naptime extra early.
"I'm soooo tired..."

"It's comfy here, Dad."
Our big girl was so happy to see me and hugged me extra hard around the neck when I picked her up. That wasn't enough to save me from getting my hair pulled a few minutes later, so she sat with Daddy most of the rest of the visit. Today we practiced eating pretzel sticks slowly, one at a time, not grabbing someone else's that they're eating, and swallowing one before eating another, instead of cramming them all in her mouth at once.
"I don't know if I want to smile yet."

"Okay, I'm ready to smile now!"
We still have our houseguest for one more night, but then she'll get her own place with her husband. It's actually been fun having someone new to talk to.
