Well, we have a house guest here in Eastern Europe. One of the other moms who is adopting came a few days before her husband, and she didn't want to stay alone in this foreign country, so she's staying with us for a few days. This is a great way for us to show her how grateful we are for all her help in preparing our documents. She was the head coordinator for dossier preparation for this country, and gave me lots of direction and encouragement during those long months that dragged on, when I thought maybe this adoption would never happen. What a surprise that she would also end up adopting again, and would arrive while we were still here! So wonderful to get to meet her and also to discover a shared faith. What a blessing, and what fellowship!

Fresh off the boat--I mean, plane! She does look pretty fresh for just having crossed the ocean. |
We didn't go see the kids today because of our visitor's arrival time, but we plan to go visit tomorrow. Tomorrow will be day #10 of our ten day waiting period. After that, it's more paperwork, and apparently, even more waiting. We need to apply for new birth certificates, then wait for those, then wait for a tax code, then get passports for the kids, then get medical exams for the kids, and then get visas from our embassy for the kids. After that, we can come home. No one knows exactly how long all this will take, though. We've gotten good at waiting, right? Of course, right!
They should be able to get everything together pretty quick. I think we stayed 2 weeks after we got Eli out of the orphanage.
