Here they are!

We met this little miss first, and when she came strutting through the door like she owned the place, David took her picture.  The flash surprised her, she stopped short, and turned around to head back the way she came.  The caregiver had to chase after her to bring her back.  She forgave us eventually, and charmed and flirted with everyone in the room.  She especially liked looking at pictures of herself after we took them.  She smiles a lot, even though we didn't really catch any of them.

Shocked by the flash!

Always time for a cookie!

The eyes have it...

And now, for a dose of reality...  This little angel (ahem!) looked thrilled to see us, lunged at me, and immediately pulled my hair with ferocious intensity.  She did this numerous times to several of us.  This is just the kind of challenge David likes, and he took her in hand for most of the visit.  He kept her very entertained, and was proud of the fact that she never tried to pull his hair!  I actually saw her eyes several times, as she seemed to be considering the wisdom of trying that on him...
Getting my hair pulled!

David, corralling this little spitfire

Don't be fooled by this angelic smile...

Now that's more like it!

And... another dose of reality...  this little boy is walking, which is good, because we didn't know if he did.  And he seemed interested in the toys, as all boys should be, but he seemed very uninterested in us, and almost unaware of us, which is not quite what we were hoping for.  He seemed to be almost in a daze, and moved very slowly, which perhaps was the unfamiliar room, along with the unfamiliar people, but David wondered if he could see very much.  They told us that the oculist said he was myopic, and recommended glasses, so we'll see.  He didn't seem to have any trouble reaching for toys that were close up.

Doesn't he look thrilled?  Who are you, and why are you touching me?
The plan is to visit these kiddos again tomorrow.  I hope for some recognition from them, but it might be a bit soon for that.
