Making headway!

In spite of the runny nose and goopy eyes, the little miss must have been feeling better, because she was all fun and games today. We all played together, and Daddy wrestled with her, which she thinks is great fun. She especially likes it when he chases her around the center post in the room, making scary, growling noises. Oh, the thrill!

"I like having really big hands!"

"I wonder if they'll make a really loud noise when I clap?"

No one was around to let us into the little boy's building, so we traipsed in, and found him in the playroom, and I strolled in and plucked him up out of the ball pit, where he was swimming like a fish. He wasn't happy about leaving the ball pit, but when I carried him out to the hall, he looked interested. We sat with him for a few minutes, and then I started playing catch with him, where Daddy helped him catch the ball (he was sitting on Daddy's lap.) He really liked that, and smiled everytime he "caught" the ball. Then he got down, and explored up and down the hall, and was very animated. He played ball, and played with Daddy's glasses, which he plucked off of Daddy's face, and tried to put on his own face (after trying to use them like a key to open the door; he's tried that with a few other toys also.) We were super happy to hear some giggles as he played!

"I'm still speedier on all fours!"

"And now...to unlock this door with this key..."

"I think these go on like this..."

"I wonder if these will make me look smarter?"

Next, we went to visit our big girl, and when she came to me, I carried her out to the visitor's lounge. We sat on the sofa for a few minutes, and she looked at me, and we talked to each other for a few minutes. Then the ladies came, and told us it was time for her to eat, and that we could come in while she ate. She was reluctant to leave the visitor's room, so Daddy carried her in, and we sat with her while she ate. We were happy to see that she eats very nicely, and didn't make a big mess (although she had a giant spoon, so a bit got all over her chin.) She ate at a leisurely pace, which I thought might have something to do with her hoping to make our visit last a bit longer. She has a good appetite, and can drink nicely from an open cup. She was also able to wipe her chin with a napkin. These are good things to know. I didn't bring the camera in when we switched rooms, so I didn't get any pics of her today.

I didn't get my hair pulled at all today, and she certainly had the opportunity when she was sitting next to me. She did stroke my back, though. I think she was feeling my fuzzy sweater. We reinforced the "nice, nice" lesson at that time.

All in all, we had an excellent visit with each of the three kids, and are enjoying the warm welcome from the girls, and the headway we're making in getting acquainted with the little guy!
